TRIO SSS is here for you and your success

What is SSS?

Student Support Services is a federally funded TRIO program sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education.

We provide services that help participants remain in college through graduation and develop their potential for success in postsecondary education.

Why join SSS?

With a proven track record of more than 40 years, SSS is committed to helping WVU Tech students successfully advance through graduation.

We evaluate individual needs and provide free one‐on‐one support services to more than 200 participants, helping to create successful and confident students and leaders.

Who is SSS for?

SSS is for any student who meets the membership requirements. Take Casey Orndorff, for example. When he failed his first math test, he went into panic mode. He attended a workshop on test-taking skills and earned a perfect score on his next test.
That was a few years ago. These days, Dr. Orndorff is teaching math at the university level.

Joining SSS

Students can apply to become a participant in the TRIO SSS program at any point in their undergraduate career (freshman to senior) and at any point in the semester. Participation in the program is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Students will be admitted based upon eligibility and availability of open slots in the program.
